AI Application Laboratory

Wavelet signal analysis and applied AI for energy systems, biomedical signals, vision and robotics.

Led by Prof. Wen-Ren Yang in the Department of Electrical Engineering at National Changhua University of Education, we apply AI and signal processing to biosignals and speech, identity verification and the campus battery energy storage system, and we also study stereo 3D vision and robotic-arm control. We design our systems to run on affordable hardware.

About the lab

The AI Application Laboratory is part of the Department of Electrical Engineering at National Changhua University of Education, led by Prof. Wen-Ren Yang, who has taught in the department since 2006. Building on his expertise in wavelet transforms, digital signal processing and signal analysis, power electronics and neural networks, the lab develops AI applications that run on embedded and affordable hardware.

The lab has hosted international interns through TEEP since 2018 and through IIPP since 2024.
